A concept art of the level I have to make for the Blacksad game project. Took me 3 days of school to finish it. I did it with a mix of photoshop painting and matte painting.
This looks great! I love the use of grime and grunge covering most of the street, it shows wear and tear, something that's been through hell, and is still standing.
This is a brilliantly polished piece of art, especially for a concept.
My one issue with it, is that I can still see some of the base line art, and it looks too clean, this is mostly around the Gutters, and the bottom of the Fire Hydrant. It's not a big issue, but the straight, perfect black lines pull the whole "doomsday been through hell" look, back to something more childish, like Devil May Cry, or something. Something with a factor of cleanliness amongst the destruction.
Other than those four lines, and the bottom of the Hydratn, I would say this is a brilliant image. Nice Work
Merci. On me l'a souvent dit, c'est parceque je suis parti d'une image de référence pour la perspective faite sur 3ds max je pense ^^ Le prof m'a dit que du coup le dessin fait un peu "froid" qu'on ressent pas trop les touches humaines de la peinture etc...
